The Ice Storm

Cold Eye Earth is unable to publish this week, due to the ravages of successive winter storms here in Portland. This is the first weather-related outage in the newsletter’s history. My home office has been without power since Saturday 13 January, with the exception of a glorious 6 hour reprieve on Thursday the 18th. And then, the next storm hit. Boom. A typical story happening here this week: the powerless take refuge with friends and family who do have power, and then (yep, you guessed it) they lose power too. And so it goes.
We’ll be back in operation for sure later in the month. Until then, best to all, and thanks for reading.
